Tomato and Pepper seedlings (pre-order for spring) - $2 (Colorado Springs)

123456
Hello CO Garden friends!

Custom grown tomato and pepper seedlings in Colorado Springs!

For the last several years, here and in southern NM, I have been grafting heirloom tomatoes onto vigorous disease resistant rootstock for transplant into my garden. I've compared several heirloom varieties and a few different rootstocks as well as compared own-root plants to grafted plants within varieties and have settled on a few good combinations. I also start heritage green chile, with seed straight from the NMSU chile breeding program.

I've expanded my basement garden and have room to plant about 750 seedlings for sale.

I would love to get some custom orders, but success is, of course, not guaranteed. If you have a favorite heirloom you can't find or want some on some superior roots, I'm happy to give you a quote. Same goes for other pepper varieties.

Here's what I'm planting in addition to custom orders:

Rootstock:

Heirloom varieties:

(I had customers waiting before I set up when I used to sell these at the Las Cruces farmer's market)

(My wife and daughter's favorite from years of trials)

(prettiest tomatoes I've ever grown)

(Just google it. The best tomato there is to put on super vigorous roots)

Peppers:

(favorite chile for red harvest)

(favorite mild green chile)

Prices:
All plants will be in jumbo six packs. I can mix and match within units of 6.
Grafted tomatoes: $7.50/plant
Own-root tomatoes: $2/plant, $10/six pack of one variety
Peppers: $2/plant, $10/six pack of one variety

I'll do my best to keep custom order prices close to these, but some untested tomatoes and exotic peppers will be a little more

Schedule:
All seedlings will be planted in a 2 week window around the first of March (I'm anxious, too - but have learned my lesson about starting too early in CO!). I will give updates and can deliver / meet you for a large enough order

Want to learn how to graft? I can teach one to a few people at a time with this year's crop and typically charge $50/hr for other plant biology consulting - think that is fair here, too.

Thanks for looking! Hope I can start what become your favorite veggie plants this year!
